Dempsey's cracked his dew claw again! Had to have it clipped off right at skin level, so on short walks only for a couple of days & painkillers!

Another hole in my bank account!

can you not claim for that on the insurance then or is it just not worth it

The excess on the insurance is £75, so no, I can't claim. This one wasn't quite as bad, only £41!

Will do. He's out on his (shortened) walk just now, but I'll tell him when he comes back. He'll probably say "I know - so what!"

I also had a 10 minute lecture at the vets on how overweight he is ( ). I'd normally get really irritated by that, but he was right. He's got to lose about 5 or 6 lbs at least!

Poor Dempsey! The vet was going to put Lily on the 'fat wall' at the Vets surgery! She is a little too curvy buts its her build I'm sure Dempsey is the same. I bet he is sore, I've been looking at Lola's dew claw while I was writing this and its making me wince thinking of him. I bet you're spoiling the patient?

Not allowed! The only way you can spoil him is with treats & they've been drastically reduced!

The painkillers are working so he's a bit livlier now (unfortunately). He really wanted to go to the park this afternoon, but he couldn't. Not a happy chappie!
