Interesting walk just now
Walked over to my sisters this morning with Dexter, so he can get to know his Aunties house uneventful walk there but just now on the way home we encoutered several bloody idiots of varying types.
First a woman with a poodle (dinky one) who despite her giving Dex 'that look' and walking into the middle of the road to go around us found herself confused and embarassed when her angelic fluffy friend went what I can only describe as batsh** crazy. Of course Dexter did the only sane thing and completely ignored the maniac, who was by now disrupting traffic as his owner just froze while he jerked about snarling and losing the plot.
Score one to Dexter.....
Next we crossed a park, and things got a bit nicer..an off lead springer comes bounding over from behind the bushes with a worried looking bloke catching up, Dex and the springer have a little snog and the bloke seemed really surprised, said his dog (Lucy) usually gets very full on and he expected a staffy to get annoyed. Pleasantly he didn't express negativity towards the breed as such, more that he felt his dog would have been the cause and staffies may be 'no nonsense' or prefer to do things on their terms not get smothered in kisses. That made me laugh, knowing how Dex would do just about anything for a smooch
Last thing that happened just amused me, we passed a shop where a bunch of very 'street' lads were on their lunch break from school, and as we walked by I heard this:
Lad one "My auntie had one of dem dogs, a brown and white one innit"
Lad two "They are vicious man trust me"
Lad one "Shut up, dogs just don't like you innit,"

Hahaha! Lovely. I always find its the small ones that go mad. I secretly think that staffs must say something in dog to make them go mad, then look all innocent so they can fool people haha.

Yeah..like "Here..mate...where's the rest of ya?"
Or if it's a fluffy lil one "Did your mum do your perm?"

Re: Interesting walk just now
Sounds like some of our walks one woman we came across yesterday had a rotweiler in one hand and a hairy chiwawa (sp) thing in the other as soon as she saw Ledger who was paying no attention to either dog she got all panicy and picked up the little one who went all tasmanian devil
Ledger gets alot of respect off the 'lads' round here which amuses me as he then flounces upto them with his dressage trot and his bum wagging
