I've been nosing about here for a while, I have to admit the thought of raw feeding does not appeal but one of my friends does it with both her dogs and is always telling me how good it is, nico is currently on James wellbeloved, 2 meals a day but would eat constantly if he could, he weights between 20 and 21 k, I was wondering if I can change one of his meals each day to raw or do I have to go fully raw for any benifit to him?

You can't feed raw and dry together as it upsets their stomach but two separate meals would be ok, personally I'd just go full raw though, easier than having two lots and you'll get all the health benefits  Smile

Like saz says you could do kibble for one meal and raw for another but switching to full raw will give your wee man all the benefits Smile xxx

Just a wee update, the boy is on his kibble for his main meals but I've been increasingly giving raw treats ( pigs ears, small amounts of the raw mince) he's doing okay on this. One stinky loose poo but after that nothing. Now he's handling the teats and small bones okay should I get one meal raw?

Good luck with it, think usually the morning meal is best raw as it is digested faster the evening meal being kibble will then have all night to digest tho since moving Ledger to raw fully I haven't noticed any difference in his overnight toilet habits he will still sleep through from 7.30pm to 8.30am if I don't disturb him
