I have really dark hair but i want to dye it red.Anyone know of a good brand to use? I used live colour to dye it purple ages ago,but it turned out black Sad

I use live colour as well and the purpley ones are really dark. I noticed they have a range out now, Luminance, that lightens as well as colours so it's supposed to be ok for dark hair. I haven't tried it though.

the only way to get it proper red is to go blonde first, the best without bleach is the XXL platinum blonde and then put the red on

I used a hair colour a couple of months ago, just to cover the grey, it didn't do a very good job I have lots of them. I cannot remember which one it was though, what a useless tart I am today.

I use the XXL blonde and then i use manic panic hair dyes over it and you get their true colour and they last longer that way,

Just know that once you go red youll be read for years to come. it is very hard to get rid of.

i would use the xxxl blond then tip a jar of pickled beetroot over your head and you will get great results Big Grin
