Smaller Dogs
Monty is great with other dogs who are bigger than him, and I can confidently let him play with them off the lead with them. The problem is smaller dogs... He seems to want to pin them and rough them up a little. This usually ends up with a squeal from the smaller dog and an owner panicing that my dog is attacking him when hes not. I have taken him to training, had him in with trainer dogs etc. Is this something I should be worried about or is it something that is common... hes 6 month old.

Re: Smaller Dogs
Suki used to do this as well and will still do so every so often. We will have her sit and wait before the introductions and than let them interact on lead. If that goes well we will let them off lead to play while keeping a close eye on them. The smaller dogs usually don't like rough play so often aren't good matches.

Re: Smaller Dogs
This is something I have encountered with Rocky too. As soon as Rocky looks like he is getting a bit OTT I distract him with a ball or toy. He is then OK to carry on playing, just need to keep an eye on him thats all.
