Wash time!! Empty Wash time!!

Post by Guest Fri Sep 28 2012, 17:27

For a couple of weeks now Steffi has been trying to shower with my 9yr old son, he gets in the shower and she follows, if he locks her out she will sit at the door and cry until he opens the door and she darts into the shower looks up to the shower head as if to say "well!! wheres my water?" It is very cute and when she has got in with him he washes her in puppy wash (no hoooman soap) .. So to my questions... Do u think there is anything wrong with me letting her do this? And if I let this be her way of batheing, how often should I let her in there?? She really does think she is hoooman rolling on the floor

I wouldn't let her do it too often, it'll wash all the natural oils out of her coat & she could develop dry skin!

Wish I could get Dempsey to step in the shower - he sprints past the bathroom every time!

I wouldnt be so worried about her getting wet but I would limit the number of times she gets washed as it can leech out her natural oils - mine don't get washed more than once a month. But I can't imagine her getting wet is a problem.

As long as you are happy for this behaviour (and you must decide now) to go on then I personally dont see a problem with it.

Thanks for the advise.. The dry skin is what I was worried about..

Hahaha Steff hates the bath I have only given her 1 and the yelps, my gosh the neighbours must have thought I was beating her Laughing But the hose and the shower she just loves it..

May also have a lot to do with Sydney weather we have had quite a few of 30degree + days? She adores the falling water, shower and sprinkler is her faves.. Every day she finds a new way to make me laugh Laughing

Thanks Smile

Yeah I'm ok with it as I think she would be more than happy to shower alone it's just when my son goes in there she remembers "Ohhh that's right,, theres that fun water thingy in there.." Laughing and I guess as she grows it will be easier to shower than lift her in the bath..

What's 30 degrees+ ??

We COOK things at a lower temp than that in Aberdeen.

Mind you it's been a sultry 12 degrees today.

Steffi is a real cutie kiss kiss kiss
