can you bloody believe it?
Hi everyone! Im having a bit of a rant!
This morning my other half took Phoebe over the park where we go every single day, had her first of all on the lead then, let her off once there was no dogs around. A woman and her collie (which may I add Phoebe doesn't love lol) my other half had Phoebe under control and she wasn't bothered about the collie, until the lady kept on throwing the frezzbe over by Phoebe,.the collie walked up to her and was barking so Phoebe took her down (she didn't bite it) and my other half separated them. Well the woman had a massive go at my partner how 'that mennis should be put down' and how she's heard of 'those' dogs. And the one that really wound me up was she said 'oh and if your dog does anything to My dog, don't worry il make sure it gets out down, look at it you call that a dog'
Im am livid!! Talking about my girl like that!
My partner did reply to her but I won't put that on here haha!
Why are people of negative towards them? I bet Phoebe gives 1million x better cuddled than hers does!
Oh And that thing should be on a lead? Yeh she should of but so should hers have been.
Sorry about going on, just thought id share it all with you lol!

Re: can you bloody believe it?
This stigma thing baffles and infuriates me. Of all the dogs that I would ever even remotely associate with anything negative it has never been a staffie. The most I associated with them was crazy leg humping, as for years at my bus stop waiting for the school bus a local staff would come past with his owner and ALWAYS go straight for my leg while my friends laughed hysterically. Still, he was a bloody awesome dog despite the daily embarassment factor!

I can think of what your Husband said to her and i don't blame him she is a snob in fact she is a snob of snobs , lets hope she watched Paul O Grady on telly last night because that old Staff they found a home for had a least 30 people waving him goodbye some in tears , he had won them over with his character sitting in the office with all the staff everyday visiting the Chelsea pensioners , that's Staffy's for you , meanwhile tell her next time her dog is of the lead you will report her that should do her one .

I think this is something most of us have come across at some point, I know I have. Apparently my hubby should have a number on his back according to some old bat in our local park There we go though, keep calm and carry on.

Seems that everyone has to come across some narrow-minded fool in their lifetime. The funny thing is she probably doesn't even think that way. If she did, why would she risk her dog's safety by letting it off the lead around a dangerous breed of dog? She only said it because she was angry and decided to blame your dog rather than her own.

Stupid people are unfortunately common. Sometimes I wish we could put them down...

Re: can you bloody believe it?
Well yeah I can bloody believe it! Lol. We get mixed reactions to Molly, people either cross the road to avoid her or they give her a fuss. There is barely any middle ground with staffs It is a real shame because since having Molly I've realised that staffs are just oodles of fun and love and cuddles. With their goofy smiles and playful personalities it seems only people who have owned one, or own one or have been in a lot of contact with one understand them. A delightful breed to own and it's a pleasure being Molly's 'mummy'. I love collies and all but this breed are the best
