animology spray caused alergic reaction.
hi, on friday my wife used animology stink bomb spray on our staff ozzie, within half hour he was covered in hives he had swollen patches all over his body including his face and legs.we called the vet and they advised giving him piriton which we did and over night he improved and was alot better saturday.but saturday afternoon the swellings came back,he also is scratching and rubbing him self on the floor, we gave him more piriton but he just isn't himself during the night he has been pacing up and down and crying.sunday morning he seems better the swellings have gone down and ive given more piriton just in case. just wanted to know if anyone else has had any experience like this with this type of spray. as i am writing this he has just been sick yellow bile, ringing the vet now.

I've never even heard of it - what is it?
It certainly sounds like something I wouldn't use!

I've never heard of it either.
When he was first sprayed with it, if some of the spray went on the floor or around the house, that could be why it came back after clearing up. Good luck with the vet. Let us know how you get on

Had a look at the product website but couldn't find a list of ingredients.

Re: animology spray caused alergic reaction.
hi all, its quite an expensive product that pets at home sell and most vets ,we have used the shampoo without a problem. spoke to vet sunday he advised starving him for the day and stop giving piriton, we did this and by sunday evening he was back to his normal self. we wont be using that spray again.

Glad he's ok.
I'll remember not to use that stuff at any time in the future!

Did the product have an address of any kind on it that you could contact them by ? I would let them know that it has caused a reaction on your dog and send pictures too.

Awww good to hear he's ok, what a worry.
Another product to avoid eh !
If it's any help I bath my 2 around every 6 weeks in Etiderm shampoo, my eldest has very sensitive reactive skin abd thus product is fine albeit £14 a bottle !
Best of luck x
