kennel cough nasal spray?
going to get a vaccination this week for kennel cough, and was told it goes in the nose, so i'm guessing its like a spray? anything i need to watch with this, as after she's had it we're in the car for a two hour drive to the lakes.

Re: kennel cough nasal spray?
any particular reason your getting the KC vax done? are you planning on boarding lola or similar
I only ask as the vax bascially has so little effectiveness it's a waste of time, there are so many strains of KC and the vax only covers a few and not very well at that!

yeah she's going in for one night, and the kennel requires evidence of KC vac and up to date vaccinations (which were done in November)

I agree with Ella on that. Unless you're going to board & the boarding kennel insists on it, or unless there's KC rife in your area, I wouldn't bother.
Yes, it is squirted up the nostrils, and it's very unpleasant.

Re: kennel cough nasal spray?
Dempsey had one when we put him in a bording kennel for a week. It isn't a spray as such (I mean, not like an aerosol can or anything), it's a tube that is squirted up their nostrils.
Most dogs really hate it!

i knew it was given via the nose but wasn't sure whether it was a spray as such

My girl had the KC drops, the vets were giving them free with 2nd lot of jabs, Dz hated it, she sneezed, shook her head, not impressed ! But no harm done, she was only 12wks old so soon forgotten x
