Re: some advice
ok guys I will I promise, forgive me if this is bit long
My boy Kai is a wonderful dog inside the house, but outside on the lead a nightmare and it is really getting me down.
I have just spent over an hour just now trying to walk him utside without his halti. oppppppppssssssssssss lol
I started inside he was fine, and in the garden giving him treats and he was stsying by my leg............ outside different story...........
He just don,t want to listen, ok he sits down at kerbs but thats it and when I offer him treats he won't take them.
And when I try and put his lead on he whines constantly, I take it off and put it on the side but as soon as its on him again he starts all over,
when I took him out last night I have to hold on to the halti on his face otherwise he will pull.
I have come in from the front of the house having spent over an hour just walking him, back and forth without his halti and as soon as he pulls I walk in the opp direction,
I GIVE UP..........................

Re: some advice
What about trying a Halti Harness or similar? They have a front ring which gives you more control & if you have a training lead you can clip one end on the halti & the other end on the front of the harness.

Re: some advice
I have used a Canny Collar on Rocky in the past. It works using a pressure and release system, when the dog pulls and pressure is applied, his neck drops down rather than being pulled to the side. When he stops pulling the lead loosens. It's supposed to send an immediate reward signal to him with no pressure if he walks beside me without pulling.
There are various other headcollars around.
