Always pays to report any illness your dog has at the vets, for your own peace of mind and to possibly help others too.

Yes, this has been reported over several areas the past 5 or 6 years. They still don't know what causes it.

Scary almost makes me not want to take Loki back to the park. With my paranoia, I'll be surprised if Loki doesn't end up in a bubble.

I agree - I'm so scared of anything happening to Lola that I'm not doing her weekly woodland walk at the moment.
I did find this link to an article with an updated list of suspected sites - hope it's useful to everyone.

Just to let you know if you're in Norfolk that my friends vet has said they have seen a significant rise in cases over the last 2 weeks - this vet is based in Acle.

Dave, there isn't any - you have to get your dog to the vets asap.

Parks are ok. It seems to be restricted to certain forestry areas & only in the autumn/early winter. They are working on the assumption that it's a spore of some sort (maybe a fungus?) that is released into the air this time of year & is very bad for dogs.
