Contraband handed to Sophie on a plate virtually.

As most of you know Sophie is on a very restricted diet because of her tummy problems. We have been really disciplined in what she has had though it's been tough love.

Yesterday, she managed to steal a slice of meat feast pizza.

Son came home from Greece yesterday. He decided to order in a pizza for us to share. Bob had gone to bed taking Sophie with him. Anyway, Bob got up and let Sophie though to the lounge.

We have a bungalow and son realised he had left his door open (assuming dog was in bed). He threw the pizza box at me (with it landing on the arm of the sofa) to run and shut his door as he had the contents of his suitcase all over the room.

I (also assuming Sophie was in bed) had put a half eaten slice of pizza on the sofa arm. In the chaos, Bob told Sophie to go to her mat which was beside the sofa. None of us realised that my original wedge of pizza had slid off the arm and landed on Sophie's mat, exactly where Bob had directed Sophie to go.

Result - one happy dog as we didn't stand a chance getting the pizza back and so far, no ill effects.

It was like slapstick comedy

What contraband have yours stolen lately?

Suki nicked a piece of pizza the other day. I left it on a plate which was on the counter. I was going to warm it in the microwave but stepped into another room and she wolfed it down before I got a chance.

Perhaps you can start feeding Sophie some Pizza now bless her.

Of course, I can understand that.

Moo is really good and won't steal food, I can understand your worry though Moo was on a strict diet like Sophie, but after 3 years I can introduce new things and her tum has been fine, touch wood!

Glad she's had no ill effects, hope it stays that way

My mum had a smoothie and put it on the floor next to the couch, with Loki asleep in his cage. She goes into the kitchen for a moment and comes back to find Loki just finishing the smoothie. He then looks up at her and starts wagging his tail furiously; clearly he liked it so much he didn't care that it was wrong

It was just so funny Bob directing Sophie straight to the errant pizza. After having the box flung at me I had forgotten about the pice on the arm and it slid off, straight into the dog

My 2 stole a caramel wafer off the kitchen counter a cpl of weeks ago.

I only know this as the next day Tank threw up and bought up the said caramel wafer still in it's pack !!!! I almost died.

Tyson isn't to bad around toodles but he does have a little thing for crisp so while unpacking shopping the other day i had opened a pack of crisp and left them on the table when i realised what i had done i rushed to the livingroom only to see tyson had ripped the packet open and finished them off for me glad to say no ill effects on his tummy x

I can just see the comedy playing through. Tyson will try his luck with anything that may be left unattended. He has this little creeping thing he does when I am not supposed to be looking.
