ow that hurt then given guilt trip

Playing with the terible twosome tonight and as usual they bouncing around when marley jumps up...
Smack one large dog head pushes my bottom lip into my tooth. Blood everywhere and one kin ell later marley looks me in the eyes and then the blood all down my arm. He pulled his ears back licked me and started wagging like mad first trying to lick my arm then face. So in a fraction of a second id gone from mad pain to trying to reasure him it wasnt his fault. He looked so guilty it was actualy breaking my heart...how do you tell a dog accidents happen?!? I swear he looked mortified he'd hurt me, it wasnt fear as i never raise a finger to my dogs and dont even shout in front of them (im kinda chilled) it was a genuine omg i hurt you look about him.
So as i sit here with a fat lip trying to drink a cold beer im never ceased to be amazed by how much dogs love there humans.

Yep. They have us all wound about their paws. Same story here over and over... scratch marks, head-buts, bruised legs from them ramming into them while running about like crazy chickens... Hope your fat lip gets better quick! Black eyes are also no fun...

I am currently sporting a lovely scratch around my neck from playing hide & seek with Ledger under the duvet a couple of days ago bless they do get upset when they think they've hurt you mind you coupled with my thai boxing bruises people must wonder what kind of home I come from lol

I'm sure they could tell by your body language and general reaction that you'd gotten hurt, and maybe they were concerned or something. No worries, dogs don't tend to feel guilty; I know because Loki has tried to treat my arm like a tug-of-war toy and shows no shame nor guilt . Also, the dog in your avatar, what one is that, and what's he/she crossed with?

They do always look so sad and worried.

Thats marley my boy, hes a staffy cross siberian husky. Thinking husky genetics played with face mask. His mum was a blue staff and dad husky and granparents working red huskies. He has husky body filling out with staff muscle and a mix of temperaments. Laskas is same but seems more staff. Awsomne dogs and can run for miles, going to have to work them at weight pull and scooter.

I recently stubbed my toe on the sofa whilst Percy was next to me, let out a massive scream and a few choice words, and poor Percy quickly led down, paw over his head as if to say "don't let me hear the bad words mum" , he then quickly jumped up and licked my toes better bless him x

Ouchhhhhhhh hope your lip gets better soon, they can bloody well hurt cant they.

I've had head butts and scratches, bruises in places a girl should never have buises, but never mind they do apologise after so it's OK
