Barney's owners came back from holiday, so my cousin went around and told them they have to make more of an effort with him. Just to give you all some insight into how bad it was: he didn't have a bed, doesn't have a kennel, they keep him outside even when it's raining, they once forgot to feed him for three days, they never took him out, etc. Anyway, he now has a bed inside and they're keeping him inside, but my cousin's building a kennel for him anyway just in case. He slept in my second cousin's bed, so that must have been a nice change for him Smile and he's been persuading his kids to take him out with him. I went with his daughter the other day, with Loki, and she was complaining for most of the time, but she came around to it near the end and had fun. They care about him, think they've just been taking him for granted, but it's good that things are working out better. And for those of you that haven't seen the pictures/story I posted in the gallery section, Barney is a 13 year old Shar Pei cross who's deaf and only has one eye. He's a soft dog with a great personality. Latest pics of Barney:

That is so sad, they really dont deserve to have their trust betrayed so much, glad to hear that the effort is being made now. Well done for working things out for him.
