Re: Missing Thread
When certain topics get too much they are sometimes removed, I didn't read the thread myself but I'm guessing its because of this

Re: Missing Thread
I don't recall anything being said that could be construed "as being to much"
Thanks for the reply anyway.

Re: Missing Thread
I think it was a case of things were going to get a little bit heated if the thread continued, so to save that from happening and from tempers getting frayed etc etc, the thread was closed. Prevention is better than cure

I don't think it was anything that was said by anyone in particular gem, it's a subject that people disagree quite strongly on and in the past, that has led to things getting very heated. Don't worry, you didn't upset anyone, you're as entitled to your opinion as is everyone else

Re: Missing Thread
If I remember rightly it just looked like the topic was running around in circles & about to disappear up its own backside! To stop it becoming heated & valueless it was locked & removed.
I think.

I disagree Carl {although i did'nt see the posts earlier today) it was questioning breeding practices and anthropomorphism amongst pet owners(of which i an one)Caryll wrote:If I remember rightly it just looked like the topic was running around in circles & about to disappear up its own backside! Re: Missing Thread
I think there was getting to be a bit of a disagreement on in-breeding/line breeding which was never going to go anywhere & just lead to an argument. It's an emotive subject, especially when people link dog breeding to human breeding (I hope that dosn't come across as patronising - it isn't meant to).
Line breeding is practised in every breed. Close in-breeding isn't. It just depends on how close you consider close. If you see what I mean.

Re: Missing Thread
Totally agree with you Carl, it is an emotive subject now that are dogs are living in are homes ( and pushing you off the sofa) people equate human emotions to them. It does get peoples blood up, so maybe it was best to to consign it to the bin. Was just courious what happened it, being bit of a nosey bugger
