Ive decided too feed stanon fish 4 dogs because he has skin issues/baldness and the other hypo allergenic foods ive tried dont seem too be helping much they were at the lower price range thou.
Just wanting peoples opinions on fish 4 dogs ive seen its got good reviews but anyone actually feed it and think its a great food or have i wasted my money lol.

I know Janey uses this foods and highly recommends it. I think Steve now feeds his dogs on it too.

Re: anyone feed fish 4 dogs?
It is a good food, it sorted out Moo's diarrhea which had been really bad and now her poos are firm, but she has got bored of it, rarely eats breakfast and I have to add stuff to it in the evenings to get her to finish.
So honestly yes its good, Moo is in amazing shape and her coat is fab, but I think like all kibble, they get bored of it, or that could be because I have a fussy dog!

I have had Buster and Lulu on it for a couple of months now. Buster is doing great on it, and it has done wonders for Lulu's skin - no dry patches or spots or anything since changing. Sometimes Buster doesn't want his, but I think that is down to him rather than bordom, he only ever misses one meal. Lulu never misses any. Lol

I'm interested in this as Lola sometimes gets picky and it might be boredom - seems to more than one sample on offer. Which one would you suggest ordering?

Re: anyone feed fish 4 dogs?
I switched over to it a couple mths back for Max to try and ease his stomach churning and wind ..... it worked
He had always been on JWB, but the F4D is very similar in nutrition etc without the side effects
Just a shame i cant find a store that stocks it, tinterweb order only ... but thats no biggy really

Re: anyone feed fish 4 dogs?
I've decided i'm going to try fish4puppies as Zeus's skin is getting dry and developing patches, so hopefully this food can sort it out! Would you go for the small bite or large bite? And isn't it odd that you can get the food cheaper off other websites, but its much more dearer on their own website?

Re: anyone feed fish 4 dogs?
Personally I'd go for the large bite, but I suppose it depends on what your dog is used to.
It's more expensive on their own site because they probably have higher overheads to pay - staff, production costs etc. Plus they are always available on the phone/email for good advice when you need it!

The food that hes on right now (wainwrights dry) have really small pieces, and he tends not to bite them, he just swallows it whole! So I'm thinking large bite would be better too as he'd chew them?

Re: anyone feed fish 4 dogs?
By the way, the cheapest I found a 12kg bag of Fish4Puppies large bite is on petshopbowl.co.uk.
Its £41.99 and then if you enter discount code "BARKABOUTUS", you'll get an extra 5% off giving you a total of £39.89 including delivery

Re: anyone feed fish 4 dogs?
I would deffo recommend Fish4Dogs as both my girls LOVE it... Inca's on the adult finest fish kibble which i add a touch of warm water to for her tea which makes a thin gravy juice for her which she loves... and Sky is on the puppy kibble which she loves and i also add a touch of warm water to it for her tea aswell..
Both bowls are always licked clean..

Re: anyone feed fish 4 dogs?
I switched Taz over to it last year, she ate 35 kg happily (not all at once) ... the improvement of her tone and fur was outstanding, no paw chewing, and of course - no wind, eager meal times and no brown patch on the bottom of her jaw from wheat staining! I did prefer the larger bite kibble for her though as the smaller kibble was wolfed down quicker without chewing..
I have already made the commitment to switch to raw so did not purchase anymore. chemist direct online I think is the cheapest.

Re: anyone feed fish 4 dogs?
Just bought a few bags of fishy treats off them, the new sea wraps with sweet potato (had them before - Dempsey loves them) & the brand new Sea Hide, plus some twists & training treats.
All a bit pricey, but good ingredients and he likes them all, so money well spent.

After Debo's long history of diarrhea we're trying f4ds now. We still mixing it with rice and chicken but I think it works. No winds, poo is firm and small so I think will stay with it.

I am currently changing my dog over from arden grange to f4d, he loves it. I get mine through the vets I work at, so you could see if the vets you use can get it from their wholesalers.

Re: anyone feed fish 4 dogs?
i've just got a quick question about F4D.. Zeus is currently on wainwrights dry and I feed him a daily amount of around 300g, looking at the F4D daily guideline, I have to feed 425g, why is this? I would have thought F4D having better ingredients, it would be the other way round?

Apologies mate, Zeus is on Fish4Puppies.
He weighs just under 18kg and according to their daily feeding guide it says:
Weight in kilos (kgs) 3-11 weeks 12-26 weeks 6-8 months 9-12 months 12 months
15 - 20 440 - 545 415 - 515 340 - 425 280 - 350 235 - 300

Tbh, though, they are only guidelines & every dog is different. If the dog's getting a bit porky, then reduce the amount & vice versa.
