tattoos of your furbabys?
Hey guys, I was just wondering has anyone got a tattoo of there dog?/pets? And what do you think about pet portraits? I was recently talking to someone who's just got one done and its got me thinking about getting one of my boy done for xmas, has anyone got pics of there's, and do they do they look similar to the photograph, I'd hate to get it done and it to look nothing like my boy, :-) thanks in advance

Re: tattoos of your furbabys?
iv not got any tatts from photos
only thing you need to do is make sure you look at artists work from pictures
as if there good they will have there work on show but beware a good photo tattooist will charge an arm and leg as it takes a long time to copy a photo but in the long term dont seem over the top as its for life

my other half is desiging his own tattoo using pictures of our pooch and blacking them out to make shadow stensils of them to go in a celtic band type thing around his arm he has been going photo crazy getting a true "staffy pose" !!!!
im a little unsure of atcual photo tattoos you need to be really sure of the artists as it can look awful !!!
good luck with whatever you decide

Re: tattoos of your furbabys?
My dad is a tattoo artist and he knows someone that does AMAZING portraits. She is the person I would go to if I want one done of Charlie. You can get some really dodgy artists though, I'd ask to see a portfolio of their portrait work before letting them do it.

Re: tattoos of your furbabys?
If I had any chance of getting someone of the quality of Kat VonD to do a black and white then I would get a portrait, but in the meantime I have this
[img][/img]
This was when it was done in February and it isn't as sharp now, I'm going back in two weeks to get the bottom corner of the knot re-done where it wore away from my shoes

Re: tattoos of your furbabys?
I love looking at other people's tattoos. Got none of my own - some people have a high pain threshold, some people have a low pain threshold and I have a NO pain threshold. Besides, I'm a total wimp when it comes to needles (of any kind)
Don't think I'd do one of my pooches if I ever had one done - that's why I have a camera
