lolly update

hi all lola has got over her urine infection so all good there....she still thinks house is the toilet and garden is playground lol and weve discovered shes allergic to rain! or atleast she thinks she is if its raining she wont set foot outside the door . also when ever i open the back door to put her out she legs it back into the house and if i shut the kitchen door she just panics and pees all over the kitchen floor?i spent half hour with her in the back garden last night night after her tea and she did nothing but cry and shiver so took her back in house within 3 minutes shed peed on rug and pood then tried eating it? rung vet this mor ning told me to feed her banana in her meal to stop her eating it.reckons shes trying to hide the evidence or shes copying what her mum used to do.on the plus side her and esme getting on superb doing zoomies all over the house this morning lol.....have just told her she wont beat me and if it takes me all 2011 she WILL be house trained....looked at me then wondered of to find her chewstick lol shes also found her vioce now and sorta barks at us or esme to play with her. hope everyone is well ................................john x

shes certainly that lol at the minute its battle of the wills and shes winning but i have a plan and i will be the boss lol

Good on you John for staying so positive.... i tell you the rain is a curse on us toilet training mums and dads... i just get Holly going on the grass and not the deck and it rains again... she too wont get her toes wet!

Bandit hated the rain big time, and if it was windy as well he wouldn't step outside the door! Sometimes I could almost see him crossing his legs he was so desperate to go!

Glad she has got over her urine infection, she sounds wonderful, Bodhi too hates the rain well with his back paws anyway he tries to do little handstands while trying to get round the garden it's very funny especially when he loses his balance. Bless em all. x

I'm having housetraining probs too so I sympathise! Sometimes I think he's getting there and then its back to square 1! Ah well, they all get there in the end, at least we know we're not alone!

Shontelle, do you let Charlie out and have full run of the house?.. cause we dont... if we are not with her and watching her like a hawk she is in her crate... then as soon as we open the crate up we take her outside ( make her walk) and then she does a wee...Charlie will get there.. he is a good puppy otherwise... is he chewing your furniture? Holly likes the taste of my leather lounge.., so if she is out of the crate.... then i am watchign her for everything...

Charlie's only allowed out when one of us can watch him. He's not left alone in the house too much so he is out most of the time. He's getting better in that he's not going every hour now. He can hold it for a while. But if he needs to go, he trots down to the back door and if I dont get there in time to let him out, he'll do it just inside the door. He is a chewer. He loves clothes and blankets the most! Caught him having a chew on my new dining room chair legs too! Little bugger. I'm really not worrying about the housetraining at the mo cos he really is so good in every other way, the housetraining will come when he's ready

hmmmm think im guilty of quite alot here....lola has full run of the house at most times of the day only time i crate her is if we are going out have guests who dont like dogs jumping all over em or at bed time all other times she does what she wants. i found her in my bed yesterday lol. im not to worried about the house training as shes still a baby and itl come with time.id say outa the ten times i put her out 3 of she does as shes supposed to.she has a ready supply of chew sticks witch she adores so if shes starts wanting to chew il give her one of them they last most of the day.with jade being at horses alot kids running round in a evening and work its hard to keep tabs on her all the time so if shes has a accident thats more my fault than hers. i do try to be on top of her but when lads take her to her room or lilly runing round house playing hide and seek with her i usualy get a "dad lolas pood" then its a mad dash to clean it up and put her out. think i need to sort a proper training program out for her but too be honest shes superb in every other way especialy on the lead superb with the kids and a right dadys girl lol

have decided though to hold of on a the new 3pc suite for a while till she grows up a bit lol

She'll get there and as said b4 you have an amazing positive attitude which will really benifit Lola, keep doing what your doing, ie cleaning it up with no fuss and popping her outside and you'll be fine. She sounds like a proper little scamp and settling in nicely

She sounds like a much loved girl! As everyone has said they all get there in the end. Soem will be clean by the time they're 12 weeks (or even earlier) some won't until they're 8 or 9 months! But the good news is, as long as you're consistent they all learn in time!

well super news today shes had 3 accidents in the house and they were all pee not mess!!!! she taken to messing under the kids trampoline wich makes it intresting getting under too clean it but totaly worth it!!! (ive started wearing my waterproofs to get under lol) couldnt praise her enough shes walking round like she can do anything now

Brilliant! Keep it up & keep positive, she'll pick up on it & learn even quicker!
