Lathargic lolly :(
Hi all
Bit worried about lolly Lola! She seems very tired today but we've actually done less exercise today than normal.
She's eating & drinking fine. Peeing & pooing five too.
She just seems really tired. Keeps coming up for cuddles then goes to bed & sighs a lot!
Our morning walk was fine, she just seems very tired tonight
Am I over reacting??

Re: Lathargic lolly :(
She could just be having an off day. If it keeps up or her eating and drinking habits change then I'd go to the vet

Yes, just keep an eye on her - we all get off days & that may be all it is.
Has she been spayed?

she could just be having one of those days. you know the days where you just can't be bothered but i would keep an eye on her and if she the same tomorrow call the vet.

Hang on, she had a season a short while ago, didn't she? Could be a phantom pregnancy?

Re: Lathargic lolly :(
Not in season, shes not collecting things.
She seems ok today, tired but she had a good un with the frisbee! So she's snoozing/sleeping.
I just hope im not over reacting xx

Re: Lathargic lolly :(
Could it maybe be down the the rich foods she's had this week??
She had scrambled eggs on monday, a marrow bone on wednesday and a tin of sardines today (all she LOVED!!!)
Could that be why???

Re: Lathargic lolly :(
She's eating, drinking fine again today, peeing fine, had 2 normal poos and a dirreah one.
We had a good walk with the frisbee and all she's done is sleep since.
It just not like her at all!
When I get up to get something she looks up and isnt fussed. If I say lets go walkies she would but I dont understand when shes so sleepy
Im probably over reacting!

Re: Lathargic lolly :(
you know Lola better than anyone. if you see this behavior as abnormal i'm not gonna say it's not. i would still wait a day or so for a vet visit, but that's just me. IMHO, it sounds like Lola may just be feeling a little sleepy , but i'm not a vet.

Re: Lathargic lolly :(
Sounds like she had some rich food earlier this week ? caused diarrhoea, but wouldn't explain the increased sleepyness. Is she drinking ok? If excessive drinking, could be start of diabetes. Get a vet check if she's not right and you are concerned. Dogs are like kids, they usually bounce back quickly so if she is continually "off colour" see your vet. Good luck.

Re: Lathargic lolly :(
happy to help the stomach thing is probably just the rich foods. Herman gets that sometimes. if you're still concerned after a day or so, then maybe the vet could give you some ideas. >< to Lola
