So proud of my boy
I am so proud of des our rescue dog today. He's has been round to my freinds house today and played with her two dogs and had a whale of a time and behaved impeccably in the park in his walk this eve.
We had the usual walk with the ball in our local park with the ball off lead, we are just going back to the car when this lady walks by with large male golden Labrador, retriever and smaller black dog.
The Labrador bounds over and nearly knocks me over and then precedes to push des around and knock him over too, no word from the owner at this point! Then des stands his ground and growls once and the other dog takes the hint and starts on the black dog who also tells him what for. Des then goes over to see she is ok, very cute!
Des does not like to see dogs fighting or being naughty and more than once he has told off dogs who have not gone to their owners when they are called (he will chases them noff in a non aggressive way- normally he just plays with them)
For a rescue dog he is so well behaved and every day he surprises us with his manners and behaviour. he was found wandering in outer London and was handed to battersea, whatever his life before we feel v happy to have him :-)

It a great feeling when things do go right. I would always go for a rescue dog as there are so many that need loving homes. No reason why they cannot do as well as any other dog.

He sounds lovely, sometimes the best dogs are rescue dogs. And its so nice to see them become the dog they were supposed to be. Sometimes all they need is someone to understand them
