Small bald spot
I have noticed that Molly has a small bald spot right on the top of her head, round and about half the size of a 5p. I have been keeping an eye on it and it has not got any bigger over the past few months. She has full thick hair round her ears, eyes, face etc. She does not scratch at it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Small bald spot
This might be demodetic mange (which is passed from mother to pups when they suckle), and it is not the "bad" mange.
Maska also developed a bald patch, and we just left it. When it didnt go away, we put some cream on, but this did nothing either. He never scratched at it, but it just didnt go away. We took him to the vet and they did a skin scrape, and it turned out it was this puppy mange. They gave him a serious of shots and withing a few weeks the hair grew back.

Re: Small bald spot
Agree with Chantel and a trip to the vet is probably the best route to take , take it there's only Molly in the house so no risk of it being from playfighting or anything like this ??

Re: Small bald spot
Update on the bald spot. Not mange and she also checked Molly for round worm. It is more than likely scar tissue. I have measured it and will keep an eye on it!!
