Same Behaviour as Puppy Empty Same Behaviour as Puppy

Post by SkyBlue101 Tue Jul 24 2012, 15:01

Hi,
I've recently brought a blue staff pup aged 8 weeks..
atm she follows me around everywhere i go, plays, and she doesn't bite (which is a plus as this is what im scared of)
I'm just wondering although she is a pup will she keep the same temperament and personality when she is an older staff?

thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me.

With any luck yes she will remain as she is now, you may well find that training will be easier if she does. You will determine how her personality develops, with your attention, training, affection, feeding and socialising.

Good luck with it all, and please dont forget the pics.

Hi and welcome from us and Suki. Suki is about the same way. She followed us everywhere when we first go ther. Now she likes her own space every now and then.

Loki follows me around, but he bites like a demon Big Grin but yeah, it sounds like you got a puppy that is happy to be submissive, which makes it easier for you. Puppies bite sometimes though, simply because it's how they play and learn, so I wouldn't think she'd never bite, but don't worry about that. If she does bite, just be consistent in correcting her. She'll keep the same temperament as long as you continue to train her Smile

Hi and welcome Smile

Whether or not your pup will still have a gentle temperament when she's older will depend on how well you raise her Wink
