Weight ranges
Well, I have to laugh at this, I was looking around the internet for a few tips on keeping dogs in top condition and found a "Ideal Pet Weight Range" on http://www.petobesityprevention.com according to this, Molly is 2.6kg OVER weight..... I can imagine this website is also basing their statistics on a fully grown adult dog. Molly is only 1 year old...
According to the website, the ideal weight varies from 10kg...... Up to 17kg...
Any one got a fully grown dog that size? Because I was always told a female would reach at LEAST 18...

I'm so glad it's not just me then!
Thing I don't get is, where they get the figures from!? I've just looked at photos of Kaos, and he's no way over weight, it just confuses me.

Re: Weight ranges
I honestly don't know how much Bandit weighed, but he was pretty heavy!!
Dempsey, on the other hand, is nearly 27 kilos, I wonder what that makes him?

She's no where near breed standard bless her (The odd nipples don't help)

Re: Weight ranges
at 14 weeks kaos was 8.something lol. Kaos is slightly over weight but not to bad anymore, still some puppy fat. Ty is 18.something and he honestly doesnt have an ounce of fat on him, if anything i think he could do with putting a bit on lol. Anyways this is exactly why i always say dont judge your dog on a specific weight as whats a good weight for one staff is extreme for another. Instead use your heads and check bodily condition on each individual dog! x

Re: Weight ranges
Exactly Carly! Molly doesn't look over weight, we keep her weight monitored incase of any sudden changes, but, we usually just leave her as she is.

Tali has odd nipples aswell, bless them. She's missing one on the left and her sister brandy is missing one on the right!

Re: Weight ranges
Molly's lost half a kilo now! The new diet is doing her wonders, she's lost an inch off her waist as well.
She's 19.5kg now, I think if she was the 17 kg she 'should' be, she'd actually be skin and bones.
I know what you mean markeB about time flying, I can't believe it's been 10 months since the OH walked into my work and said "There's a surprise for you at home" (My Valentines Day present) Then showed me a photo of this tiny 6 week old bundle curled up in a HUGE crate.

Re: Weight ranges
Apparently Molly was my valentines present for my entire life
Molly's down to 19kg, give or take a pound or two. I always thought Molly was small for her age, but she soon filled out, especially since she started enjoying swimming!
