green discharge from vagina...

Hiya folks ...
Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice as Sky (who is 3 mnths old) has had a greeny coloured discharge coming from where she pee's ... Also she squats alot to have a wee but sometimes only a drop or two of wee comes out ..
She has her normal long wee's when she woken up from a sleep or after playing with Inca but she will then go around squating (outside) as though she feels she needs to have another wee but only a drop or two will come out...
I googled 'green discharge' and some say it might be a urinary tract infection whilst a vet googled saying all female pups will have a slight discharge due to there hormones getting ready for them coming into season (or summit like that !!) and every pup is different as some have more hormones than others ... I can't remember Inca having a discharge but then her hormones were all messed up due to her being spayed when she was either coming into season or going through a false pregnancy..

Anyone else have an issue with their pups having a greeny discharge coming from their 'mary' !!

Could be a uti or a bad hygiene issue ! Either way I'd get her looked at by the vet, can't ignore 'women's issues'!

Green is the sign of an infection. I'd get her to the vet if I were you to be on the safe side, never like to take a risk with something like that as it could be pyo.

Yeh she's fine in herself... eating as normal but does drink alot (she always has done that since we got her though) .. and she enjoys her walks and is a happy go lucky little pup....

She must have an infection, so off the vet for some anti-biotics i'm afraid.

She could be coming into season earlier than the norm, I think Moo had some odd discharge but I would air on the side of caution, if it is a uti it can be cleared by anti-bios Xx

I would take her to the vet..it certainly doesn't sound normal ...or even phone them and ask their advice..

Even though she's fine in herself, I'd still get her to the vet today if I were you.

I would also advise a trip to the vet.

Sounds like an infection to me, vet should be able to sort out easily enough.

JusAQt a quick update :

I took Sky the vets due her discharge an he said it is probably either a UTI or maybe something like vaginitis !!!
So she is on anti-biotics for 5 days an touch wood it clears it up .. Haven't noticed a discharge yet today..
