I'd be lost! If I'm not at work (and even if I am I'm generally making sure she is ok) we are walking and playing etc! She is my family and my life x

Well I'd have an extra 2 hours a day as I wouldn't have to take him for walks.
I won't have to spend all my spare time running after him to get a pair of my socks back that he's decided to pinch for a bit of attension.
Might be able to buy a chicken and eat some of it myself instead of getting the sad eyes until I give it him
Get a good nights sleep as he wouldn't bark his head off at 2 in the morning cos the cat has nicked his bed
But im a sucker for punishment as I wouldn't have it any other way

I'd be lost. I've had dogs since I was 14 years old (a LONG time), and even when they're asleep or in another room, you know they're there.

I couldn't live without my staffy or any dog(or cat) If i'm out all i do is miss them. I love Mia but after Nitro died it wasn't the same, part of me was missing and still is Harley has filled up part of what i lost. I NEVER want to be without my dogs.

Re: What would you do with out your Staffy ?
well id be very lonely and my life would be dull as its happened to me twice, 1st when i lived at home we had a family staffy{len}i considered him mine but he was everyones really so when i left home at 18 with working etc he stayed{3 younger brothers} although my mum did ask if i wanted to take him with me but he was getting on and it didnt seem fair...he died shortly after age 14...i cried like a baby.....after living on my own{no dog} for a year or so someone offered me a sbt puppy for £30 so that was that lennox came along and was my shadow for 15 years, he was very ill towards the end so i was glad when he was pts although once again i cried like a baby but more pathetic this time..lol....then went 2 years with me and my mrs weighing up the pros/cons then my mrs took me to see some lil puppies so the result was obvious that was 3 years ago so at 39 im on my 3rd and i gave in and decided i might as well have one until its time for me to say adios.....did once consider an ebt as friends own them but for me i carnt look further than a staffy it seems weird to want another breed-disloyal even......

I'm dreading finding out, as I love Jethro far too much for my own good. He is our 4 legged son, and as he is nearly 12, we will have to face life without him sooner or later. I know I will be a cot case!!

Re: What would you do with out your Staffy ?
Thanks.. yes I hope it is later too!!!
When my last dog had to be put to sleep ( he wasn't a staffy ) at 12 due to cancer of the pancreas I didn't cope too well at all. Went to bed crying..woke up crying.... honestly thought I was dying from a broken heart. Never ever thought I would ever get that close to another dog.. but I have!!

Re: What would you do with out your Staffy ?
I've only had charlie 8 and a half weeks but I couldnt imagine life without him now. I absolutely love him to pieces, more and more each day. I've always had dogs, had a couple different breeds, but I can safely say that I'll never own any breed other than a staffy now. I dearly wish that I could have Charlie forever, but I know that cant happen and I'm already dreading the day we lose him. Hopefully I'll have a good 14-15 years with him tho.
