I dont use a leather one for Rocky, just dont like the look of them. He has just a plain Ancol one. Does the job.

Re: Leather Harness
yeah i have a nylon type padded one for romeo sorry... although i have see some leather ones. i'm sure someone on here has one, but if not you could try google
Re: Leather Harness
i do remember seeing a link on a past thread for website that did custom leather harness, can't remember where but sure it'll be easy enough to find after a little while trawling through the old threads. personally don't have one though. buster just has his red ancol one to match all his other red stuff that was given to him by his carer when he was stuck in the dog home.

Re: Leather Harness
I don't use one but I think you can find a better fitted and far more comfortable harness than a leather one

Re: Leather Harness
You can get nice leather, and custom made harnesses and leads from www.aecollars.co.uk
They specialise in harnesses for staffs
http://www.fordogtrainers.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=390
We got this one for Maska, just plain and simple, and it works a charm

AECollars.co.uk ... brilliant quality and service
Max has a harness (plain) and a collar from there
Old pic, and not very much can be seen of the harness, but I would recomend them all day

Re: Leather Harness
I got this 1 for Kodi (ebay £8 new)
But he runs if i even pick it up, he looks uncomfy and also looks like a girl So hes never warn it out of the garden and now has a collar.
I like the leather 1 Andy has for Max but will wait till his bigger now
Mazda has had loooads of leather ones i'll try dig some pic's out but shes had 3 off the main ebay sellers with others, she seemed to be comfy in most

Re: Leather Harness
Pets at home have them (but often keep them behind the till) I tried one on Ledger but they were too big (he has a small chest) I ended up getting a collar as they looked smart but the staffy knot studs fell out so wouldn't recommend for quality but maybe worth a nosey to try one on and see what you think they look like on.
I ended up with an Ezy dog webbing harness it looks sooo much more comfortable although I now only use it if we go for a run or I take him out on a long line to play with his boomer ball

Re: Leather Harness
I know I'm being a party poop, but can I remind everybody about the law in the UK.....
The Control of Dogs Order 1992
This mandates that any dog in a public place must wear a collar with the name and address of the owner engraved or written on it, or engraved on a tag. Your telephone number is optional (but advisable).

Word of advice, by all means use a harness, but not instead of a collar !! .. If, heaven forbid, your dog gets into a scrap, pulling at a harness will do nothing to control the dog, but may well damage the other even further!!
In my pic above, Max has only a harness on because his collar is a wide leather one and wont fit with that particular harness (he has a couple), but he is excercised on private land , he's never out in public without a collar on
