Advice
Hi deciding to become a new Staffy owner and going to see a potential 'best friend' tomorrow. A bit scared as never took on the responsibility on my own before to have a dog. I live alone in a apartment, work 4 night shifts a week but generally thats about it, so have quite a lot of free time to give. I'm a dog lover and want some advise or feed back regarding making a decision whether or not a Staffy under the circumstances i've mentioned above. I have a park literally accross the road to exercise him/her and as I'm alone he/she would have all my attention. My concerns are, barking when I'm not around especially while at work during the night and generally how he/she would be left alone (3-4hrs at the most) when I was unable to take them with me. If anyone could give me some help I'd appreciate it. Jennifer

Re: Advice
If she's exercised well before you leave at night she'll probably sleep the whole time you're away!
Just take care with feeding times - don't exercise for at least an hour (preferably more) after she's been fed. In fact it would be better to feed her about an hour after her exercise & she'll be content to sleep it off overnight!
