Long day
So, I get a text at 8 this morning from a friends who's dog Pheobe (not a staff) had had a stroke, up I shot and chatted for a couple of hours, she got called back to the vets as her gums wheren't as pink as they wanted them to be. So her mum was with her and she had to go for an op.
I thought after that the weather is stunning so I'll have a day of me and Moo sun bathing in the park. Another friend had asked if I could take there dog out as they where kinda stuck but I said no because the weather was too nice.
Packed up the cool bag and off we set. It clouded over a little but was still stunning. I began to feel guilty about the dog I had said I couldn't walk, so after an hour I headed home and went and picked up Ralph (he lives a few miles away) by this point it was sweltering and I would have been much happier sun bathing lol.
I got a call on my walk, Pheobe had died, she didn't make the operation, very very sad poor girl, friends in bits understandbly.
Anyway, after a full days walking and a lot of emotion I am shattered and saddened by the loss, they don't live long enough

Re: Long day
She wasn't a pure breed just a lovely dog, she was also oldish but it just wasn't expected, they assumed she would be coming home after the op, I guess we all want to think that.

Very sad. My amber died of a stroke, she was too old to risk trying to operation so just had to be pts. it wasn't nice seeing her like that at all, she looked so helpless. RIP friends doggy!
