Hiya and welcome from us
What have you tried brand wise? Mine gets sick/runs when she has chicken, so I have her on fish diet rather than meat.

Re: being sick after eating
Are you sure he is getting enough to eat? Not intending to critisise you for starving your dog, just wanting to know that he is getting the correct nutrients for a dog his age.
It maybe that a trip to the vets is in order he may have picked up a tummy bug ??

Firstly you say Bakers , you would be doing the best thing possible for him to ditch that stuff , it should be illegal to sell it with the additives they put in it, but what concerns me more is you say "and stuff like that" he should really have one food and stick to it, chopping and changing his food will not help his tummy at all , and if you need to change it then you must do it gradually to wean him off whatever he was on

Re: being sick after eating
It could be that, at his age, the food you're giving him is just too rich for his stomach.
I'd get him off the Bakers (awful food!) and maybe try fish4dogs or one of the better foods for older dogs, eg Wainwrights Mature...

Re: being sick after eating
At his age I'd split the food into two, or even 3 if that suits him better. Older dogs can have sensitive stomachs & if you overload them they can get a bit upset.
Whatever food you go with, change it over a bit at a time, don't just do a straight swap, because that'll upset him as well!

Re: being sick after eating
You're welcome!
It might be worth a try splitting it into 3 meals, with maybe the evening meal being slightly larger than the other two.

Re: being sick after eating
You could try adding some omega oils to his food, or one capsule of omega 3 a day.
What did the vet give him? Is it HD or arthritis?

Re: being sick after eating
We are just about to change Rockys food from James Welbeloved to Barking Heads which contains omega oils from trout.
It seems he is fed up with the JWB so thought we would change to something different.
Rocky has 2 meals a day of 60grams of dry food each time, once at breakfast then again at dinner, he also sometimes has supper too but not every night. He has a kong with treat biscuits in the evening weighing approx 30 grams.
He weighs approx 17 kilos and is 2yr 6 months old approx (he is a recue dog so age not certain)
If you do decide to change foods please do this gradually and buy the best you can afford. List of recommended dry foods below:
