Dental sticks
Rocky was poorly sick at the weekend on both Saturday and Sunday morning. He just vomitted the once each time and that was it.
The only thing we can put this down to is the fact that we reintroduced Pedigree Dental Stixs, he had one on Friday night and another on Saturday night. We did not give one last night and he wasn't sick this morning.
We then had a little think about it and realised that when we gave them before they made him sick.
Lesson learned no more of them then. Since he now has a Stag bar that he loves he shouldn't need the dental sticks anyway.
We are also changing his food over to Barking Heads but will leave that for a few more days now.

Re: Dental sticks
Poor Rocky. Was going to try dental sticks but was reluctant because my dogs have sensitive tums. I've started to use tooth wipes but don't know how well they will work. I've never heard of stag bars, will give them a try. Happy Rocky is feeling better.

Re: Dental sticks
The link below may be of use. We got the Stag bar from Jolleys, but I'm sure you could get them online too:

Re: Dental sticks
hope rocky is feeling better ><
when you think about pedigree dog food it contains alot of rubbish so i should think the same would go in to their dental sticks too,we used to give them to sasha but she went off them, she also now loves her stag bars!

Re: Dental sticks
I don't use the dental stix because they stuck in Dempsey's teeth, and it's hell trying to get them unstuck!

Re: Dental sticks
The dental stick are full of sugar and rubbish so will affect alot of bellies!
If you want to keep his teeth clean then given him raw bones or a stag bar

There's a few things that moo can't have, actually lots! I hope this is the cause. Moo has these though, she loves them and they don't do her any harm thankfully

Mia is also a fan of these, it's now her morning routine to get up, scoot outside for a wee then fast as she can back to bed to demolish one!!
