barking at the tv
when my dog hears another dog bark on the tv he goes nuts barking and growling however when we are out walikng with him and he hears another dog bark he doesnt bat an eyelid whats all that about then?? he is 12 month old rescue dog. any help apreciated.

It's normal, don't worry.
When you're out, the other dog has as much right to be there as your dog does, so he isn't bothered - it isn't his territory.
At home he doesn't like another dog in the house, probably wants to warn it off! Just stay calm & tell him "No!" If necessary turn him around so his attention is on you, not the TV & give him calm praise when he stops.

Lol, yep its totally normal, I try and avoid vets programes etc because she goes balistic! Acctually it can just be an advert and she goes mad!!

he will only do it when im in the house if there is just him and my gf in he doesnt do it like this morn i was out seeing to birds in the garden and he and the missus were watching "its me or the dog usa" and he didnt bark when the dogs on the tv were barking only when i came he started barking at them. unless he is tryin to show me the "alfa" male that he is protecting the house??

Samson licks the puppy on the andrex advert ignores the other dogs just the pup at the end

Thats funny. I'd record the advert and put it on twice a day to keep the tv in tip top condition

I used to use the Polish cos they were cheap. But they have all gone back to Poland now so having to look at alternatives

Kaiser does this too although he crys more than barks and he does it with any animal and now even when he is asleep he knows all the music to the anmail adverts and jumps up at the telly

Vinnie does this aswell lol, more so if its a big animal like horse etc and if someones running haha, he also does it at dogs barking on it aswell. Makes ya giggle lol

my mam watches films like homeward bound ect all those kids films about dogs with there border terrier he will sit and watch the whole film from start to finish he even sits in front of the tv and doesnt move or bat an eyelid he likes to watch the wildlife programs aswell its comical.

Ty will bark at the telly but not at animals or other dogs he barks at black men, black women not a peep but men he goes ballistic I have no idea why he does this he has since he was a small pup. I have to turn over before he notices he doesnt do it in person though just when there on TV its very strange. Just so you know we are not racist people before I get judged its just the dog lol.
