Discharge and Red eyes
Rosie is now almost 5 months and she still has green discharge coming out of her quite regularly - I thought nothing of it as it is normal for puppies to get discharge - but now there is a fair amount.
Also, her left eye looks swollen and red :c
Does this sound familiar?
I think i'll take her to the vets ASAP
Thanks, Hannah.

Poor little thing! A trip to the vets is best - you can't be too careful with eyes.

Re: Discharge and Red eyes
I think they can get it at any age, but it doesn't sound like it's that. You'd actually see the gland swollen & red in the corner of the eye & it would be irritating her.
It's more likely to be an infection that can easily be treated with drops.

Re: Discharge and Red eyes
good luck with the vets hope she is ok Remember whe n we took Tilly as her eyes were getting really messy , the Vet put some green dye in there to take a look and it eventually comes out through her nose, so here we were in Town walking down the street with a Staffy with green eyes and green gunge coming from her nose, needless to say people avoided us that day

Vet just thinks its an infection , pleased as we got talking with the nurse about hay fever and allergies and she told me about a test they can have, Ralf (vet) doesn't think it's warranted, good job because it costs 450 quid (to my insurance company:) ) anyway she's ok now just got some Fucithalmic eye drops to give her 2 times a day for a week , same as when we first got her and had the green nose syndrome. £27 lighter
But she does seem to be developing a fear of the vet , left off her harness as she's looking a bit thin on her front and not sure if its from the chest plate, she froze solid outside the vets and slipped her collar and spent the whole time in there shaking and panting

Re: Discharge and Red eyes
Bless her, if its becoming a problem it may sound silly but you could always take her to the vets (when she doesn't need to go) walk in and out and treat, might stop the negative attitude towards being there Xx
