Re: pink skin
Ideally on a white dogs eye there should be pigmentation, it would look like the dogs got black eyeliner on.
Not all white dogs have pigment fully around the eye, some may even just have a few scattered black marks.
Theres nothing you can do about this, i have heard that seaweed does help bring out pigment in a dog .. but unsure if it actually works.
The fur on the face is thinner than that of the rest of the body, so the pink skin is more noticeable. Again nothing to worry about, unless your dogs a sun worshiper then its best to put a kiddies water proof high factor sun screen on his pink bits so he dont get sun burn

Re: pink skin
Saxon's skin looks pinker around his white eye and mouth, as well.
Also when he gets excited he gets pinker all over!
It's normal for white and piebald dogs.

Re: pink skin
we've got white cats (when they decide to show their face) and we always have to put a high factor on their ears

Re: pink skin
My Pene has lots of pink bits and yes some days they can be extremely pink. When she basks in the sun all day or in front or the heater (like now) her pink bits go very red. Have been told if she sun basks then def put on sun screen otherwise it's just the way they (white dogs) are.

Re: pink skin
because white hair doesnt have any true colour pigmentation its actually see through and clear, its just the layering that makes it look white, the same things is found in humans. so where the hair is a little thinner, the skin with show through better. Even on my red boy, near his eyes actually looks darker because i can see his black skin underneith, but his belly can be very pink because he has white markings. best to put some suncream on them in the summer months.
Also pigmentation may appear to change through the seasons, this is all factors to do with the sun, and or aging, you know... freckles darken in the sun and such and over time. I wouldnt worry too much about it unless you are planning on using the dog for showing. If you're not shwoing, just think of it as a loveable qurk
