your dog doesn't need to have any pitbull be class as pitbul type anyways this why you should buy from a official breeder

I wouldn't bother with DNA testing for which breeds are in him - it's very inconclusive, very hit and miss.

Also, just tell people he's a cross breed, don't mention the words "pit bull" at all, there's no need. As long as you train & socialise your dog well & he's friendly with people nobody will be bothered what he's crossed with or even what he looks like. They'll just love him for what he is, as I'm sure you already do! Big Grin

Its pointless. My boy is very much 'type' mostly due to his size, I could have a test done to prove that he's not, but even if I did, if someone official decided that he was, they'd ignore the test results because they are usually inaccurate. As Caryll says, raise him well, train him properly and you won't have any problems.

DNA is rubbish, it will probably tell you he is a cat.

It's better not to know if you think there is possibly pit as the DNA company are legally bound to inform the authorities. Then again, a poodle crossed with a chihuahua might come out with Pitbull traits in this world.

I agree DNA tests aren't worth the investment
