Re: Epilepsy
I'm afraid I've no first hand experience with epilepsy, but hopefully someone else here will be able to help you.

Re: Epilepsy
My old german shepherd had many health problems, epilepsy was one such problem. The vet put him on tablets but sadly they turned him into a zombie, hence the sad decision to have him pts in only his 5th year, still breaks my heart thinking about him after 20years.

Re: Epilepsy
hi,sorry to hear your staffie is epileptic. When my staffie boy had just turned 3 years old he had his first fit in the middle of the the night.Very scary to see the first time.It was a warm night so presumed he,d overheated and never bothered with the vet.Had almost forgotten until the 41 st day later when he had another.Went to vets next day and he had blood tests to rule out other problems, tests came back normal.13 days later he had a fit and back to vets who put him on epiphen pills,2 in morning then 2 12 hours later.Well 2 years later he is still fitting every 18-21 days.He is on 3 pills am and 3 pm.He went up to having 2,3 and 4 fits per day.I changed vets recently and they want to try him with another drug as well.He has blood tests regular to check his liver and ok up to now.Hope all works out with yours,Mick
