Re: growth
looks like a wart to me.. not just a Staffy thing, but still get it checked. My sisters dogs had them and so does my cat.

Re: growth
It could be a skin tag, we can also get them sometimes. Best have vet take a look to be on the safe side.

Re: growth
If it's skin tag or wart the vet'll probably just leave it be.
Best to have it looked at though.

Hey, It turns out it was a Tick. From looking at the forum I suspected it might be a tick rather than a watt but organised vet appointment which I will take him to anyway for other little things. Once i knew was a tick, after a few beers, I grabbed tick closest to the skin as possible and firmly pulled horizontal to the skin. It came out and I threw it to the side. I t was lying motionless for ten secs or more so I assumed dead and went to get jar to put it in. When I came back it had crawled away ... assuming under my bed. Is this something to worry abt or should I search and destroy-so to speak. Thx for posts and forum for the help and any future advice.

Oh, I hate ticks - they're so vile!
It could be a problem if your dog goes under the bed - it'll re-attach itself & start all over again! You can get a tick remover from any of the pet stores - it's cheap & easy to use. Just hook it under the tick & ease it out as per directions. It works - but then you need to dispose of the tick. I drown them in bleach!
