help with puppy kong please?
Hi..Im leaving my puppy for about 2 hours soon and have just had a kong been delieverd. I want her to keep as occupied as possible whilst im out..i dont have any 'proper' kong stuffing so is there anything at home i could use? she is only 7 weeks old so dont want to give her a bad tummy. any ideas that most households own in their fridge/cupboards?

Do you have any peanut butter? If so, you can fill it with that & freeze it. It'll keep her occupied for ages!

A frozen carrot is good, but if you're not there to supervise she might try to swallow a large bit & choke!

We fill Rocky's Kong with some of his treat biscuits and peanut butter or a small amount of marmite.

Re: help with puppy kong please?
I got tins of puppy dog food and filled Winston's kong with that and froze it... he hates tinned food but always ate it when it was in his kong!
one time I just stuffed it with cooked carrots and pumpkin and vegies and froze it.... he ate it all!

Re: help with puppy kong please?
If you get the large Kong it should be ok. The Black Extreme Kong will last most staffs quite a while.

For me it has to be the black extreme one for it to last any time at all.

I am lucky that Buster is a fairly weak chewer (He hasn't even chewed up a teddy yet! ) so a large kong will last him a while I think
LuLu has one of the small ones and he plays with that and hasn't even managed to make a mark on it yet! The only one that has damaged that is the bird!
