Dont buy cheap treats from poundshops
I recently bought some packs of treats from poundland. I usually just get raw hide chews and the like from cheap pound shops,.. but was in there recently and got a few packs, one packet was coloured thin chew stick things. These came in all the colours of the rainbow, the dog liked them but sent him f**kin loopy ! He seemed so hyper and restless after these,.. i put it down to the colouring and all the chemical crap in them! The other was a pack of 3 pressed bones, bright red beef flavoured ones and whilst these clearly had food dye and colourings in them aswell, the main prob was floyds feet got dyed a rank orangey colour from where he was holding them to chew. I found him on my bed chewing one and yip,.. red, orangey dye all over bed clothes.
Just natural pigs ears and branded treats from now on i think !

These cheap things do contain a lot of crap unfortunatly, we got some chocy treats from Wilkos and when we got them home read the label and found they contains "Sugars", WTF is sugar doing in a dog treat???
I guess they have the same effect on dogs as they do on children they go scatty
Always read the label before you go to the checkout is my advice.

I don't give rawhide chews of any sort anyway. Too dangerous.
Unfortunately you get what you pay for - the cheap ones have a lot of additives & it makes you wonder what goes into them sometimes.
