shooting in the fields with the fam...
Finally my wife decided she wanted to learn to shoot! I have to admit I kinda thought that was fun. Here she is practicing with the boys today. Dogs stayed home as they hate the noise. lol
Now she says she knows how to get rid of our squirrel problem.

Hmm , they are like little peashooters, thought across the pond you didn't settle for anything less than an RPG launcher

How did she get on with it? I learned to shoot when I was visiting a friend in Erie, PA. Wasn't too bad with the rifle but he let me try a handgun, jeeez that thing was horrible, hurt my hands and was soo loud. Made me very cynical about tv shows where they run around shooting with one hand. His friends told him he was mad teaching a woman to shoot

I'd love to learn how to shoot properly, I have fired a shot gun before when I was about 12 my hubby has an air rifle which I could have a go with I guess but it is quite heavy for me.

Lol. They had a good time and yes Steve they are ours. We have some bigger guns but the farmers don't like us shooting them there. The boys are just using bb guns and the wife is using a vermin gun. I have a few more. Our fav thing to shoot is old veggies as they are fun to blast. Here is just some target shooting. Had to wait to till the train was gone to put cans up but it was a bit breezy for that anyhow.

She is pretty good with it but I've never done handguns with her. I don't think she would like it unless it was one of the smaller ones like a .22 or 9mm. The bigger handguns are a bit much to do one handed. Depending on what you shoot though, it can be fun. Just takes more practice than a rifle. Your friend prob had you on his .45 or something. Lol

They aren't that impressive. Short barrel shotgun, a few .22 and .306. Nothing like Dave's grenade launchers. Lol. I'll get you pics in a bit.

Re: shooting in the fields with the fam...
I don't have any handguns at my house. Ruger 9mm and Glock .45 at my Dad's house. Wouldn't want them here with the kids until I get a proper gun safe.

Re: shooting in the fields with the fam...
lots of people here have multiple guns. It really isn't a big deal where I live. Have one friend who was a gunsmith for about 40 years and you should see his armory! He has more than 100 I'd guess. Some are WWII rifles and pistols as well which are pretty cool. He had to have a custom safe made to hold it all. Lol

Shooting is fun. I go clay pigeon shooting with my dad sometimes and it always turns out messy (i.e. lots of whiskey and a 17hh horse that a 6ft weightlifter decided to throw me over...literally)
As long as no animals get shot i'm happy to play with my guns!
