First season - fed up dog Empty First season - fed up dog

Neither me or the wife have had dogs before so this is all new. Our nine month began her first season about ten days ago. Normally she's full of beans but since she started bleeding she seems to have got extra clingy, and has generally been a bit down and nowhere near as willing to play or run around etc.

We're not exercising her as much as normal as we won't let her off the lead so that may be a factor, and she's also used to meeting other dogs which she currently can't do.

I just wondered if it was normal for a dog to become a bit fed up during her season?

Skye's just had her second. Her first was a breeze in comparison to this one! This time round she was really nervous and skulky, which baffled me! She also got a little grumpy but clingy. It's 100% normal, it's just like a woman with PMT! Totally unpredictable lol

Hi,
Stella started her season sometimes late last week (I was away from Thursday night to Monday night and my friend was looking after her so I noticed the blood on Monday night when I came back).
She has seemed quite normal so far I must say, but she was weird before - didn't want to eat. It's still just the beginning so I'll see how it goes. But I can imagine it must be normal to feel a bit down and confused. Poor wee thing, I hope your doggy will feel better soon >Big Grin<

Some do get a bit fed up & whiney. It might help to do a bit of mind training with her!
