Well we got our little tink on the weekend Big Grin and was told she had been treated with bob martin flea and worm stuff. She has her first visit to vets today to get jabs and was wondering if its worth shopping around for flea treatment online or not. for £85 we can get her vac which also includes parvo jab, micro chipped and also flea, worm treatment for 3 months at our local pets at home vet dept.....

To be honest, the Bob Martin one's pretty useless! I use Milbemax for my boy which includes protection against lung worm (a must if your dog, like mine, loves to sniff smails & slugs!). I think they do one for pups, but your vet can advise you which one is best. I wouldn't get it from PAH as you might end up with Bob Martin again!

Most of the womers you can get in pet stores aren't much good. Whatever your vet advises, you can probably get it online cheaper! Some do need a prescription, though.

When Moo had her flea treatment (and I don't use it anymore) she had avocate from the vets and for worming she has drontal.

Drontal I get online cheaper with no pescription but for the advocate you do need a pescription.

How is it all going Smile ??

Vet was pleased with tink shes been given the all clear and had her first jab. Was pleased as they gave advocate for flea treatment and drontal plus tablet. just have to sort her food out as shes on a asda brand hero wet and dry food ive got 1 can left of the wet food left and enough dry for at least a week. By which time i would like to have her on dry food only and a diffrent brand but not sure which confused

Moo was on RC then James Wellbeloved and finally settled on Fish4Dogs, took us a couple of years to find one that suited her, and just turned out fish did better.

So pleased all went well and that all is going well Smile

we've not had any flea problem with Tilly yet but always used frontline for our other cats and dogs and no problems , I get Drontal flavoured from Pets at Home quite reasonable for the worming and never had problems and a reasonable price
