I'm angry at the behaviour of our dog!! Empty I'm angry at the behaviour of our dog!!

I am really angry at the behaviour our staffy as shown tonight, my brother is here and Kaiser is over giddy it's unexplainable, anyway he was licking my brothers neck and then started to bite so I said no and went to remove him from the room by his collar and he was growling really aggressively and wouldn't surprise me if he went for me, and the other day my partners friend came to our house and he owns 3 bitches and my partner said kaiser was jumping at him and looked like he was trying to hump him and my partner picked him up and he was growling and I thought he must be growling cos he's a stranger but my partner said he was growling at him and now I've seen it myself, anybody got any advice on this because trust me if he has shown this behaviour to my kids it would be a different matter.

Hun, stop the jumping up. If he was able to lick your brothers neck then you need to be more in control.

Sit/stay command, if he hasn't mastered that keep him onlead until he is calm.

Letting a dog lick your face is fine, when you have the commands to stop them also. Everyone has to be firm on that, even guests.

He's a puppy, its what they do. You have to be the leader and stop it, and guests have to do the same.

I'd stop the jumping up as well. You also have to get them used to be picked up and handled.

I agree with everybody else. He's pushing the limits & he needs to be taught it isn't on. But everybody has to do the same thing, even strangers/visitors.

If he jumps up, say "off" & turn your back immediately & ignore him totally - don't even make eye contact. If he carries on take him out of the room & shut the door until he's calm.

If you find this difficult to start with, try putting him on a lead when you have vistors so that you can take him away from any unwanted behaviour.

The "stay" and "sit" commands could also be useful with this.

How old is he? as if this behavior has just manifested it could be due to numerous reasons.
You mentioned that he tried to 'hump' and got aggressive when your partner stopped him. Has he been castrated? as there could be a bitch in season locally where you live and this could affect his behavior.
Again depending on the age he could just be going through his doggy teenage period - in which you must reinforce your status as pack leader and as already mentioned reinforce obedience commands.
I know you know this already but do not act nervous or scared around him, nor get overly angry and shout/lash out - all of which is easier said than done, as sometimes we all get frustrated.
Positive training methods and lots of exercise have always worked best for my little sods; also I would take back control of your space i.e. only allow him on the sofa when you command it etc.

Step one: Breathe! Be calm but assertive. Your anxious energy when he does this behaviour is fuel for his excitement. Step two: Be firm and consistent. Both you and your other half must be on the same page in this. Never give affection to an excited state.

Caryll's advice is bang on.

I woulndt be letting him near guests at all until you have more control. If you have a guest coming put him in the kitchen immediately, he is saying this is my house and i am claiming this person as mine now and you can't take him away or ill go for you.

Is he castrated?
