Microchip Details
Hello everyone in Staffy Land
Just checking up, I have (shamefully after 1 1/2 years) been looking into checking Tilly's registration details with Identichip, finally got registered on the Anibase website and have just paid another £18 to sign up to an 8 year deal where they will do an alert all ports scenario to all the local vets and animal refuges etc with just 1 call after 24 hours of her being missing. Plus I can update my details for telephone , address etc as often as I like .
Are you all up to date with yours ?? A doggie microchip is like a computer , it's only as good as the information that's in there

Re: Microchip Details
Our details are all up to date for Rocky, no changes since last year. It certainly does pay to keep on top of these things though.

Are these £6 and £10 each time or for life ?? I didn't thinik £18 was bad for 8 years and peace of mind but TBH to me the cost is irrelevant I would just want her back safe

Re: Microchip Details
the £6 is for address change only and lasts as long as he lives at that address

Re: Microchip Details
Just sorted a pup for my Aunt and the breeder is having the chips done next week.
Are they usually done for the breeders address and then have to be changed or will I have him put my Aunts address on it from the start?

Re: Microchip Details
Marley has only been chipped a couple of months so up to date. it was the no 1 thing I wanted to do from when i got him and the peace of mind it brings. My sister in law lost her cat and had it returned to her after 9 months when a vet scanned it after it had been in an accident. so seeing that made it a priority for me and worth every penny.

Mine are both done, but Chance's has to stay registered to the rescue as they won't change it into my details, even though they want nothing to do with him

Re: Microchip Details
I'm with Petlog. I paid an extra something or other (can't remember what) which meant I could update details online for life with no extra charge.

yep Chance is adopted, but their policy is that the microchip is to stay in the rescues nameCaryll wrote:Why's that? All Otis' details are up to date One of the 1st things I did when we moved; we are with Pet log and paid the extra fee. Also got a new ID tag with the work & home address
