Pros and Cons of Raw meat??

Hey all, can anybody tell me the pros and cons of giving a dog raw meat please? and anyone got any advice on the best food/treats to give a staffie? just like to know peoples opinions, thanks

I don't feed raw so no help there. Plenty here do though so I'm sure you'll get there veiw.

I feed dry, suits my Moo

we tried Pedigree but they weren't too keen so now we try different ones we dont really stick to one because my elder dog stops eating if its the same one all the time don't know why! lol

Thanks for that, i've just took a look, i think our Staffie would love the raw meat meals, your dogs look so spoilt i bet they love it! you dont live too far from me btw i've just noticed, i'm in South Yorkshire too

I feed raw as well. It isn't for everyone, but Dempsey does well on it. If you're going to feed commercial, though, I'd recommend you buy the best you can afford (one that has meat as its main ingredient and doesn't have any flavouring/colouring added). I wouldn't feed tinned food myself, I don't think it's very good for their teeth, and it's about 80% water!

Haha yer i feed them solely on raw and they LOVE it, it is also majorly cheap too! oh and hi!

My three love it as well. They wouldn't have it any other way. In fact, Piggy wasn't feeling well and so was having boiled chicken and rice and she was miserable. She wanted her raw meat and bones. She was so sad to have cooked food.
