Discharge after weeing?
Hi, Everytime my female puppy (7 months old) Bella has a wee I notice after she has what looks like a small white discharge hanging from her ladie parts. It's only tiny like a drip & she sometimes shakes it off when she runs. Is this normal & if so what is it? I hope I make sense. Many thanks in advance. Johnny.

She could be coming into season ? Is she licking her bits more ? Are they swollen ? Are her boobies more noticeable ?
Other than possible season It could be an infection... Is she otherwise well ?

Re: Discharge after weeing?
she might have puppy vaginitis or a UTI definately a trip to a vets UTI can kill dogs, although it sounds more like vaginitis theres usually blood with UTI and pain while weeing

She is happy & lively. She is yet to have her first season & there seems to be no blood present it is literally just a tiny drip of white discharge no bigger than a pin head. Cheers for your replies. I will probably take her to the vet just in case I just thought I might of been over reacting. Thanks.

Re: Discharge after weeing?
If other whiteness around her bits , could be thrush. Is she on the appropriate food and drinking enough. Could be vulvovaginitis. Take a wee sample to the vets in a clean, sterilised container if you can, they can then check for a urine infection. keep us posted.

Re: Discharge after weeing?
She is eating well & drinking water. I feed her James Beloved. There doesn't seem to be any whiteness around her bits. I'll do the sample just to be sure though. Thanks. I was wondering about her season as I was told she would be due after 6 months? As for her generally she is a little more scatty lately & boistrous when it comes to jumping up me & wanting cuddles!

6 months is the average age for a season, are her lady bits swollen and is she licking them more?

Re: Discharge after weeing?
I'm not really sure to be honest. They don't seem to be but I didn't really notice what they looked like anyway. She does tend to lick herself though but I wouldn't say excessively. I'll have to spend the next couple of days watching out for it I think as I haven't really noticed when & how many times she licks her self or noticable swelling. Thanks guys. This is why I love this site. On with the stake out...

Re: Discharge after weeing?
I took my 7 month old desexed girl to the vet last week for exactly the same discharge to be told its a puppy thing and nothing wrong with her. Also checked with breeder and told its hormonal. Hope this helps

Re: Discharge after weeing?
Thanks guys. I kind of thought it might be nothing as I remember my boxer when I was a child having a similar thing but wasn't sure. I definately think she is about to start her season as she is becoming manic. Thanks all.
