Panic buying? Empty Panic buying?

Post by NatureClip Thu Mar 29 2012, 09:27

Good day everyone!

I saw this article and thought it would be interesting. Is the latest 'prompt to panic buy' evidence of stupidity or is it a smoke screen?

I don't know about a smoke screen, but the Minister's advice (can't remember his name - he's that memorable!) of filling up your car & hoarding petrol cannisters at home is ludicrous! The Fire Brigade are furious with him!

I only ever put £20 in at a time anyway. I certainly wouldn't start to stockpile. If I can't get petrol I'll walk/get a bus/get a train!

some poeple are stupid they havent even confirmed a strike yet. went shopping the other day and it took ages to get into the supermarket car park then another while to get back out because of the que for the pumps. if they go on strike and you run out of petrol or want to ration it then you can always get a bus to woek dopey

We went shopping at Tesco yesterday and there was a huge queue at the petrol station. We were going to fill up but we would have been waiting ages, I dont do queue's.
