Smile Which collar and lead at shows?

Hi,

Just a question thought I would throw out?

Which collar to you prefer using at conformation shows and why? I have seen staffy collars with brass designs, slip collars, bridle collars etc. I wondered if it was just personal choice or if there was a 'reason' behind the person choice of any particular collar.

Your viewpoints would be appreciated.

If i recall correctly staffies are only breed to be allowed to use their staffy collars at shows.
Most people at shows use slip chains though. I don't show but I personally think dogs look best with a thin brass chain as it doesn't detract attention away from the dog.

I would never use a slip lead on a staff at a show! Too many chances of accidents! Laughing

I used to have a leather collar for showing (not a really fancy one, but it set his colour off nicely. The Border Collie used to be on a slip lead, and so did Dempsey.
