head split
is it correct that staffies heads do not infact split but its the muscles either side of their heads that become pronounced as chester has a little dome on top of his head now is this normal?

Re: head split
Yes, it is muscle and not that the head splits.

Re: head split
Its a huge myth that there heads split. I thought it did with my first staff tbh. Learnt that it was just a development of muscle so you get the ridge. Moo doesn't mind a scratch there

Re: head split
I don't understand how such a silly myth still persists! Saxon's jaw muscles started to become more pronounced around 10 months of age.

Re: head split
its not the jaw muscles that are starting to pronounce there is a line developing from the tip of his nose and a small bump inbetween his ears i thought it was muscle developing but if i feel his head it feels like his skull do there skulls grow as they get older much like a human baby?

Re: head split
The skull never ever splits it develops as do the muscles ALL round the head

Re: head split
If you feed your dog a lot of calcium they may develop extra bony ridges on the skeleton.
Romeo's head started to furrow at eight months and he got his proper man face at about 15 months.
Romeo has a very pronounced furrow down his head.
A picture may help us?

Re: head split
It's just the muscle devolping. If you are trying to get them to sit still for a pic use food or a favorite toy to get their attention
