Alfie - Rehomed
Alfie is currently in foster in Llanbradach. He is a 10 week old Bulldog-x puppy.
The Alfie Fact File
Dog status: Living with a varied pack of dogs. Does play rough and he will be a big chunky boy so would not be recommended with tiny or frail dogs.
Cat status: Not been around cats
Child status: Good, well handled and socialised but does of course play bite like all pups of his age and he can be bouncy and jump up
House training: Coming along nicely
Home alone: Building gradually due to his age. We do not rehome pups to full time workers.
Basic training: Blank canvas for someone to train
Currently living in foster care and socialising with other dogs and older children.
What a fabulous and confident chap Alfie is! Despite not having the best start in life (kept in a shed and only fed every other day) he has put on weight and really come out of his shell. He adores racing around with his bigger foster brothers who are teaching him how to play respectfully (i.e. hanging off an American Bulldog's jowls is NOT always acceptable when you have sharp puppy teeth!)
His house training is coming on well, and he sleeps through the night in his crate, cuddled up in a squishy bed with one of his soft toys.
Puppies need to be neutered at their new owners expense. Neutering is a condition of adoption and something we follow up to ensure it has been completed.
We do not rehome puppies to full time workers
All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered (if over 6 months), vaccinated, flea treated, wormed and micro-chipped prior to adoption. If a puppy is not old enough to be neutered then this must be carried out at the owner’s expense when old enough, and the relevant form completed by the vet and returned to Hope Rescue. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK. A Pre-Home Interest Form can be downloaded from www.hoperescue.org.uk and should be returned to dogs@hoperescue.org.uk

Re: Alfie - Rehomed
Alfie is a stunning young man, I can't believe he is still waiting for his forever sofa! This little fella loves a fuss and a little rough and tumble, he gives super bully slobbers too. Proper snuggle bug this one xx
I am pleased to report that Alfie has now mastered how to walk on a lead! He is doing really well with his lead work and happily trots along! He is pictured below with one of my own dogs, Henry. This will give you an idea of how big he could grow!
For such a young dog his recall is excellent and he seems to be a very good natured boy. He walked with a group of 12 other dogs and was so well behaved (more than could be said for one of my grumpy monsters!). He took it all in his stride and was a great ambassador for all bull breeds. And on top of all that his bum wiggles when he walks and he gives the sloppiest snoggy kisses.
