The story behind your dogs name

Our first dog was named murphy after robocop and my latest is freddy after my grandad

Boy, I've got a list as long as your arm, so I'll limit it to Bandit & Dempsey.

Bandit was so named because he used to steal everything, althought his favourite was always my OH's socks which he used to hide in his bed!

Dempsey was named after the heaveyweight boxer, Jack Dempsey. The name was thought of before we'd even found a pup, & the strange thing is, the breeder didn't know what we were going to call him, and he named him Frachadem Thrilla in Manila, which was the name of a famous fight between Mohamed Ali &, I think, Joe Frazier.

im just thinking about some my dogs names just now, this is a coincidence. but some of my dogs names had connections with boxers names, my first dogs name was prince, i have had a dog called Tyson, i have a dog called buster, and katie, Katie Taylor is a world champion boxer from Ireland oh i nearly forgot i had a dog called Ben as well

Scrumpy my first staffy was named after my fav cider! Missy was a rescue so thats all she came with, but I call her Moo cause I'm not keen on Missy!!

Diesel was named by my mom after her eye candy the actor Vin Diesel lol and when we lost him we decided to name our new pup after Diesel so we come up with Vinnie so mom's kept the rythem going lol. but Vinnie is more named in memo of diesel more than vin diesel lol

Well My puppy is name HOLLY because it is a christmas pup and fitting for a xmas name

My husband didnt agree with me to name her , but i couldnt stand the fighting on xmas morning with the 4 of them arguing over her name lol
So i had a tag made.. and that is that lol

I got Ty off my boyfriends friend as a young pup he nolonger wanted him chewing his stuff (Why get a pup then nugget!) He had him about 2 weeks! But anyway he was called Tyson and I see alot of Tysons around the park by mine so I shortend it to Ty. I think my name is better lol

I bought Billy for my girlfriends birthday present so she named him Billy because she was likeing it lol. Staying with the Boxing theme though I have heard Billy Collins Jr. was one hell of a fighter!!!

My 1st was Katie got her at 12 weeks the 1st owner was allergic to dogs but didn't know till she bought one so she was already named.
Samson was picked by the wife before we even saw him she just liked it and i wasn't arguing as long as i could have the dog

i name xena after the xena warrior princess i always like the name, i named sam after my old dog that was sam also, my nephews name billie

Was suffering google looking at random names and Kuma was the most random a could find A like to be diffrent so that's why she is called kuma

We rescued a jack russel not long before xmas a while ago and did the same, called her holly

This is very clever I think.... So when the dogs are together you are calling "Vin Diesel"... pmsl... do people look at you strange?.

Hahaha thanks, naah, sadly we lost Diesel due to spinal injurys in november, which is why we named vinnie after diesel they sadly never met but would of loved each other! )

New to the forum and a new Staffy owner / friend.

We picked TUUKKA up at the pound a few days ago.
He's named after the goalie for the Boston Bruins.
Actually after both goalies. "Tuukka Thomas"

I named Nitro after the WCW show(his full name was Nitro Havoc), Mia was named by the people i got her from and i couldn't think of anything else to call her(can think of a lot of names at times ) and Harley well his name just popped into my head when the breeder asked me for a name for his papers. We've also had Whiskey, Beau, and Kiff. None i named.

no probs hun its fine .. very it was either vinnie or DJ (diesel junior) lol
He was chasing a cat and fell of a small wall he seemed fine no yelp or anything but next day he was limping day after he got worse so he went the vets and we was told he'd damaged his spine and an op wouldn't work .. i'm just glad his not suffering now .

Kaisers name i stole off some one else (no one i knew) just because i liked the name..

Our family dog is called cracker my dad called her that becuase he said she was crackers as a pup but really i think he copied jimmy corkhill of brookside with his staffy lol my dogs a staffy cross

My son name Milly think he fancies a girl called Milly god she will be impressed

Yeah ur right i also liked it because of that too he is the emperor or so he thinks he is hes lived up to his name
